Majestic Part 9 – Sovereign God

Jul 26th 2016

God’s sovereignty is His exercise of rule over His creation.  Chris Brannon continues in our Majestic series, speaking on the sovereignty of God. To say that God is sovereign is to declare that He is the Most High, the Almighty, “The Governor among the nations”, and the “Only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords”.  It is His right to do according to His will, His power to accomplish His will, and His authority to govern His creation as His will determines.  Chris shows us the implications of God’s sovereignty and how it impacts our everyday life.  One implication being that it allows us to go through suffering with joy.  Then he gives us five important biblical truths about Christian suffering.  Join us Sundays at 10am!

Majestic Part 8 – Generous God

Jul 18th 2016

A worldview is our view of the world and our view for the world.  It is our bias.  Every person has a worldview and every action or behavior is defined by one’s worldview.  Chris Brannon continues in our Majestic series by talking about God’s generosity.  He shows us six worldviews that we can’t afford to build on.  Then goes into describing theism – the world from God’s hands.  Today he talks about one aspect of the theistic or biblical worldview that is widely misunderstood, disagreed with or even completely disregarded.  All things come from God’s hand and He is generous with it.  Chris discusses the effect of God’s generosity and helps us understand it and what it looks like.  What does that mean for us as Christians?  How should our generosity look?  Join us this Sunday at 10am as we continue in our Majestic series.

Majestic Part 7 – Living By Faith

Jul 12th 2016

Justin Henderson continues in our series, speaking on living by faith!  Living by faith happens through small decisions:  stepping out of what is comfortable, consistency, willingness, saying “no” to temptation, living for God when no one is watching, asking God for great things and knowing the heart of God.  Listen as Justin explains what each of these look like in our lives.  Join us this Sunday at 10am as we continue in our Majestic series.

Majestic Part 6- The Compassion of God

Jul 05th 2016

Chris Brannon explains how God’s heart extends to the lowly. He has compassion on those who are victims of injustice. In response to God’s compassion, we too should live compassionate lives, embracing those that are sick, poor, hurting, or broken. Visit us on Sundays 10 at 13314 224th St. E Graham, WA to hear more about Jesus.

Majestic- Knowing God’s Love

Jun 29th 2016

John 3:16 writes, “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God’s love for mankind is what impels us to serve Him and love others around us. God demonstrated his love for us by giving His most precious treasure, His only Son. Anyone who trusts in Jesus as their Lord and Savior will not suffer the wrath of God, but will inherit eternal life.

Majestic Part 4

Jun 21st 2016

God is our perfect father!  Chris Brannon continues in our Majestic series by speaking on the fatherhood of God.  He gives us five different things that a father delights in:  seeing his children take on his teachings, attributes and personality; seeing his children coming to him for help; seeing his children joining together in things that he cares about; seeing his children uniting in genuine care and compassion for one another; seeing and hearing his children talking about their God in praise, worship and evangelism.  Join us Sunday at 10am as we continue in our Majestic series.

Majestic Part 3

Jun 13th 2016

What is being a Christian really all about?  Is it about going to a church meeting on the weekend?  Is it about performing a few rituals like communion or baptism?  Is it about being a kind, compassionate person?  While those things are good and things that Christians should take part in, it is about so much more!  The greatest distinction that Christians experience is that we can actually know God.  We can invest everything into knowing Him and that should be the cry of our hearts!  Listen as Chris Brannon talks about God’s magnificence and our devotion.  Chris will show us the majesty of God as seen in creation:  omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience.  He also tells us what happens when we get a glimpse of God’s splendor and what devotion looks like.  Join us Sundays at 10am as we continue in the Majestic Sermon Series and explore God’s majesty!

Majestic Part 2

Jun 07th 2016

Our practices are shaped by our understanding of who God is.  Chris Brannon continues in our Majestic series by speaking on some of the attributes of God.  He specifically dives into the attribute of the sufficiency of God and prayer.  God is necessary for us!  Are you self-reliant or God-reliant?  Self-reliance cuts out God from our lives, leaving us relying on ourselves instead of God.  We should have total dependence in God and come to a place of surrender that acknowledges that we can do nothing without Him.  How do you handle your problems?  Do you panic, complain, raise your fists in the air and shout to God?  Or do you go to the Lord in prayer, humility, praise, and trust, refusing to give fear and worry any place?  Prayer is a struggle for many people, but it is merely talking to our Father, laying out our burdens before the One who cares and can do something about them.  If you find yourself feeling down or worn out, just tell God, “I’m done!”, and truly give it to Him!  Acknowledge that you need Him and can’t do anything apart from Him.  Pray!!
